Designed to perfectly complement Pro-Ject 's own Speaker Box 5 and Speaker Box 10 compact monitors, the Sub Box 50 is a sleek, ultra-compact active subwoofer that will add body and emotion to the sound of any rig, while integrating seamlessly into any space. It is made of highly rigid MDF panels with anti-resonant construction, which, in conjunction with an audiophile-grade amplifier, ensures a perfect platform for the built-in 100 mm low-emission loudspeaker and high reliability. The new active subwoofer from Pro-Ject also impresses in terms of control and connectivity. It features not only stereo high- and low-level inputs, but also a special high-level input that can be used to connect power amplifiers and thus optimise the adaptation to the speaker cabinets. The user also has nine settings for the crossover frequency, while an effective auto-start mode means that the subwoofer starts up when it detects a signal at any of its inputs and goes into standby in the absence of a signal.
