This sixth generation of the MC275 incorporates a number of subtle improvements over its immediate predecessor, which have allowed it to improve its performance significantly. Of particular note in this regard is the use of very wide bandpass output transformers and a circuit design with minimised heat dissipation, allowing the MC275 to exhibit improved bass control that gives more body to the music.
Another key element of the MC275 is its Unity Coupled Circuit configuration, which allows it to ensure the delivery of its full power output regardless of the impedance of the associated loudspeakers.
The McIntosh is completed by the New York-based company's unique Solid Cinch speaker connection terminals, as well as discreet and elegant LED illumination on the signal valves to indicate their operating status (fault included).
