Completing the Climate Garden System's full range frequency response is the CLG-W12 passive subwoofer, equipped with a unique configuration from Monitor Audio and optimised for unobtrusive installation beneath surfaces.
Its bandpass configuration incorporates an internally loaded 305 mm (12") C-CAM cone speaker resting in a rotatable, waterproof moulded polymer enclosure buried below the surface of the garden.
Above ground level, a ported cabinet will provide powerfully taut bass, thus enhancing the clean mids and highs of the CLG140 or CLG160 speakers to bring a punchy and articulate full-range sound to the garden.
The CLG-W12 can be powered by a single 4 ohm amplifier channel with its optional 70/100 V line connection, recommended for cable lengths over 10 metres and for adding subwoofers to the system. By setting the cut-off point of the crossover filter to 100 Hz on a suitably equipped external amplifier, the system of extremely discreet speakers and subwoofers will provide a smooth, even response from 30 Hz to 30 kHz in the desired environment - better, in fact, than many home audio systems!
Installed inside a planter for patio or deck applications, the CLG-W12 will also contribute deep bass to CI Series outdoor loudspeaker systems, thus providing additional design options for custom installers.
