Circumaural in design and with aluminium-magnesium alloy shells open at the rear, the DX6000 stands out for combining a completely new design philosophy with an electrodynamic transducer developed from scratch to provide a listening experience comparable to that of a reference acoustic.
High-quality magnesium has been chosen for the transducer's diaphragm, a material renowned for its acoustic neutrality, light weight and high rigidity, characteristics that allow for a very agile sound with minimal distortion.
In terms of manufacturing this delicate component, using a precision monolithic injection moulding method, the DX6000 includes for the first time an innovative, adhesive-free, silicone foam surround structure in a large-diameter transducer. This breakthrough concept eliminates the weight and imbalance caused by adhesives, contributing to a lighter vibration system and perfect pistonic movement of the diaphragm.
Finally, in order to improve response and signal fidelity, the DX6000s use advanced circuitry that controls excessive treble boost, a common problem with lightweight vibrating assemblies.
