Evoke 50 incorporates Dynaudio 's latest tweeter: Cerotar. A new design built from the ground up that uses key technologies, from the award-winning Esotar Forty Anniversary tweeter, as well as the best features of the Contour and Confidence families . The engineers at Dynaudio are very proud of what they have achieved with the Evoke 50, and for good reason.
Underneath the tweeter's precision-coated 28mm soft dome is a second dome: Hexis . This ingenious solution stops unwanted resonances. This achieves a smoother frequency response for cleaner, clearer, sweeter and more detailed highs.
The Cerotar tweeter is backed by a new carbonate ferrite magnetic system with ceramic. This allows for longer listens without fatigue, thanks to its natural audio.
Just below the soft dome tweeter, Evoke 50 is equipped with two 18cm Esotec+ woofers. Made from Dynaudio 's proprietary MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer) material, the Evoke 50 features the cones the firm has used for decades.
If the Evoke 20 standmount uses aluminum in its 18 cm woofer, the Evoke 50 uses copper as they are pure bass drivers, which do not need the necessary agility to reproduce the midrange. The 0.4 mm diaphragm is the same as the tweeter's magnetic system. Which in musical terms translates into power and detail.
Each speaker is made from a single piece of MSP. This gives it the necessary rigidity to achieve much less physical distortion during playback. It also ensures a super-solid physical connection with the fiberglass voice coil on the back.
To top it off, Nomex spiders keep everything in place during movement for exceptional playback.
