The JBL L42ms is an integrated music system that was designed to fit today's entertainment lifestyle by showcasing the iconic sound of a pair of JBL speakers in a single cabinet system.
Behind the iconic JBL Quadrex grille is a pair of dual 4-inch (100 mm) woofers and two 0.75-inch (20 mm) aluminium dome tweeters with waveguides positioned left and right to create a wide, even sound field.
On the outside, the L42ms comes with an elegantly curved grille, tapered side edges and is available in JBL's classic real wood veneer finishes, Black Walnut or Natural Walnut.
Audio connections include two sets of analogue stereo inputs (one RCA-style pair and one 3.5mm input) along with an HDMI-ARC for connection to a similarly connected TV for audio signal and control. In addition, the L42ms can play content streamed over a wired or wireless network connection via Spotify Connect, Apple Airplay2 and Google Chromecast or connect to a device directly via Bluetooth.
All audio signals are routed through an advanced DSP engine where content is carefully contoured and sent to the speakers via a four-channel amplifier delivering 75W RMS to each woofer and 25W RMS to each tweeter. The system's total amplifier power of 200 W RMS can be controlled via a touch panel located on the top panel of the cabinet, the included Bluetooth remote control, or from one of many music or automation applications.
Designed and manufactured at the Harman Centre of Acoustic Excellence in Northridge, California, the L42ms leverages more than 75 years of JBL electronics and loudspeaker design to deliver truly exceptional sound and comfort, while outperforming most hi-fi systems with traditional components in the process.
