Conceived with the aim of reproducing the critical channel in home theatre setups consisting of Sonetto G2 series speakers, the Sonetto Center G2 perfectly reflects Sonus Faber 's commitment to Italian craftsmanship and audio innovation. It uses a 3-way/4-speaker bass-reflex configuration, featuring a 28 mm diameter silk dome tweeter with the renowned DAD ("Damped Apex Dome") technology, a 102 mm Camellia midrange speaker and two 165 mm woofers with a paper pulp sandwich cone. Of the latter three drivers, their peripheral suspension exhibits a unique floral pattern, which not only adds visual elegance, but also helps to reduce interference and increase the linearity range. As for the Camelia, it is imported directly from the fabulous Suprema system and among its particularities we should point out the hermetic cork enclosure that houses it and the presence of an aluminium dispersion modifier with the purpose of smoothing the frequency response curve and the overall clarity both on and off the symmetry axis. This speaker set is managed by a Phase Coherent frequency divider filter in order to synchronise the relevant phase rotations, while on the acoustic side it is worth noting the classic lute-shaped profile with high-quality wood panels and a new round cover protecting the connection terminals (specifically designed for bi-wiring).
