The flagship of the Aura Series bookshelf loudspeakers, the Aura 2 is in fact a "supermonitor", due to the dimensions required to house a 3-way/3-speaker bass-reflex configuration.

A design that aims to make the qualities for which Wharfedale's reference range, the sensational Elysian, is so well known, available to a wider range of enthusiasts. This is why it includes such highly appreciated technical refinements as an AMT tweeter transducer, midrange and bass speakers with a matrix cone structure, the innovative SLLP "perimetric" bass-reflex port and an immaculately finished external construction.

The AMT ("Air Motion Transformer"), unlike conventional dome or planar/ribbon designs, moves the air in a very different way thanks to the use of a very low-mass, large folded diaphragm, which allows a substantial improvement in definition and transient response.

The Aura 2, which can be mounted on an optional dedicated stand, comes complete with an enclosure constructed with panels made up of multiple layers of different woods following the PROS ("Panel Resonance Optimisation System") scheme, which prevents internal vibrations from being transmitted to the speakers and interfering with the sound emitted by the speakers.
