With a 5.2-channel configuration, the NR1510 allows users to maximise their home cinema experience with support for high-resolution multi-channel surround formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-GHD Master Audio. A discrete-channel power amplifier section provides the same output power for each channel along with enough dynamic capability to comfortably excite a wide range of speakers. On the connectivity front, the NR1510 includes six HDMI inputs, one of which is strategically located on the front panel to facilitate quick connections. Each of these inputs supports the latest in picture, with HDCP 2.3 signal routing, 4K UHD video at 60Hz, 4:4:4 Pure Color, Dolby Vision, HLG, HDR10 and BT.202 encoding included, plus upscaling of incoming video signals to 4K resolution. In addition, eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel) support enables lossless audio streaming from TV apps, facilitating a better listening experience with all types of TV content.
The NR1510 is also capable of playing Hi-Res audio files encoded in ALAC/FLAC/WAV up to 24-bit/192 kHz and DSD up to DSD128 (5.6 MHz). Another key aspect of the NR1510 is its ease of setup, which combines a powerful Setup Assistant with the Audyssey MultEQ room correction system. Finally, support for the three most popular voice control systems of the moment (Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple Siri), which via the HEOS app allow the user to use their voice to, for example, stream music from their favourite online services or adjust frequently used functions such as volume control, source selection or skip to the next/previous track.
