As the third generation of a classic reference subwoofer for medium-sized rooms, the S/550 offers a unique concentration of technological and aesthetic refinements, allowing it to redefine the concepts of loudness and finesse in compact subwoofers.
It features a 550 watts continuous Class D Pure power amplifier, a 254 mm "CarbonAlloy" cone active loudspeaker and a 305 mm passive loudspeaker with a lower-emission "Carbon Carbon Carbon" flat diaphragm.
Like its big brother, the S/850, it includes sophisticated filtering circuitry designed expressly for High Fidelity applications where the High Level inputs are used, the most palpable result of which is a seamless integration with the loudspeakers used when reproducing musical content regardless of which configuration is chosen.
