Vecta V240 offers incredible versatility and installation simplicity. With the help of cleverly designed brackets and an automatic single-point connection system, the Vecta can be mounted quickly and easily in both horizontal and vertical positions.
Installers simply fix the bracket to the wall and then simply drop the speaker into place and secure it with a single screw. This installation method not only saves the integrator time but also simplifies the complexity of installing loudspeakers at an awkward height or angle.
The use of an automatic connection system results in an extremely clean installation, with no wires in sight. To ensure that users experience the best possible sound, the Vecta can, when mounted on its dedicated wall bracket, tilt 25 degrees or tilt a further 32.5 degrees (using the optional wedge) to direct the sound to the desired location.
When loudspeakers are installed outdoors, a different approach needs to be taken as the relevant systems need to be able to provide high sound quality standards in a wide variety of locations and conditions. In the Vecta V240, Monitor Audio has mounted two 4" C-CAM metal alloy cones on a curved front panel to ensure that a controlled sound field is achieved. This minimises the presence of wall or ceiling reflections when the enclosure is mounted under an eave or in a corner, while the sound output is wide enough to achieve superior coverage when mounted on a wall.
The centrally mounted gold-plated C-CAM dome tweeter is horn-loaded to ensure that the dispersion at the crossover point matches the midrange, thus providing a very smooth frequency response curve off the axis of symmetry. This approach results in an ultimate listening experience with very few blind spots in terms of sound.
As usual for Monitor Audio, which has always paid great attention to design, the aesthetics of the Vecta V240 live up to its performance. Equipped with a curved rear enclosure finished in black or white tip, the Vecta V240 integrates seamlessly under eaves or in vertical corners. The acoustic enclosure is constructed of high-density ABS with a rust-resistant protective grille that is designed to withstand exposure to extreme weather conditions.
Completely sealed, the enclosure is immune to airborne noise or the potential ingress of water and dirt, thus helping to maintain IP55 environmental protection certification. Like the vast majority of Monitor Audio Custom Installation products, the Vecta V240 is guaranteed for life and installers have access to Monitor Audio's renowned service and support team.
