Immaculately built and finished, the Stradivari G2 is a beautifully crafted 3.5-way/4-speaker loudspeaker cabinet that immediately catches the eye with its pentagonal enclosure shape, the result of an in-depth remodelling of the original model's elliptical geometry in order to further adjust the proportions of the soundstage created and redefine the listening experience.
In parallel, the interior of the new Sonus Faber benefits from superior engineering due to the introduction of a number of highly sophisticated tricks that draw on the progress made by the Italian company over the last two decades.
The first of these is an ultra-precise bass response tuning system that brings complete control to the tuning of the lower octaves of the spectrum and, consequently, to the cabinet-to-room matching.
Secondly, the use of an ingenious organically shaped anti-resonant woofers enclosure prevents vibration modes generated by the woofers' membrane (cone), while the revolutionary Clepsydra technology allows for increased bass depth using an innovative Stealth Ultraflex bass-reflex port scheme with limited length and lower output.
Last but not least, there is another new technical innovation from Sonus Faber: the hermetic InTono "sub enclosure", designed to ensure maximum naturalness in the midrange while reducing the number and size of the crossover components, the latter based on the combination of the imaginative IFF circuit topology and the transalpine brand's "Phase Coherent" philosophy
