The renowned Italian firm Sonus Faber has just announced the release of the Maxima Amator, a stylish two-way column designed to achieve unique emotion by accurately representing the idea of natural sound.
Often considered the purest system from an electro-acoustic point of view, the two-way configuration has been one of the most robust pillars of brand identity at Sonus Faber, and the Maxima Amator pays homage to both this tradition and the music itself by offering the listener absolute immersion in the music.
As part of the prestigious Heritage range, the Maxima Amator is an elegant 2-way bass-reflex loudspeaker equipped with a solid walnut cabinet developed with the aid of advanced wood treatment processes. As far as the loudspeakers used are concerned, the new Sonus Faber is equipped with exactly the same loudspeakers as the celebrated Electa Amator III.
A 28 mm DAD (Damped Apex Dome) tweeter and rear chamber with an acoustic labyrinth structure made of spruce wood reproduce the high end of the spectrum, while a midwoofer with a 180 mm cone made of a unique blend of cellulose pulp and natural fibres is used for the mid-range and low frequencies
.
The Maxima Amator is completed by a key innovation that determines to a large extent its unmistakable sound personality: a frequency divider filter with a ground-breaking design that goes by the name of IFF (Interactive Fusion Filtering) and takes the form of a configuration that dispenses with the classic first-order circuit topology by using unconventional transfer functions that are exclusive to the Italian brand.
As a result of all these refinements, the Maxima Amator offers the music lover a listening experience intimately connected to the essence of sound and the brand Sonus Faber.
