Amplifier with DAC

The A11MKII stereo integrated amplifier offers an ideal combination of power and connectivity, starting from a linear power supply with a generous toroidal power transformer manufactured by Rotel.

As a result, it is capable of delivering a robust 50 watts continuous per channel in Class AB over 8 ohms and even more with demanding loudspeakers. Unique innovations in the power supply and critical circuit layout provide physical and electrical separation that reduces background noise and increases musical dynamics, while a multi-tap transformer independently feeds sensitive low-voltage circuitry and the high-current amplifier stage of the output section, isolating the audio signal path from noise and reducing unwanted distortion.

Both analogue and digital sources are welcome, with three RCA line-level inputs, coaxial and optical digital inputs, a moving magnet (MM) cartridge-compatible phono stage and Bluetooth aptX HD. The front panel includes a 1/8" headphone jack with dedicated amplifier circuitry for private listening sessions.

Finally, user-friendly features such as a detachable IEC power cable, two 12 V trigger signal outputs, robust speaker connection terminals and auto start/shutdown functions ensure compatibility with any installation.

The CD11MKII's smooth tray-loading mechanism, precise laser head and quiet motorized servo system ensure seamless, worry-free reading of your CD collection. As far as digital-to-analog conversion is concerned, it is entrusted to an audiophile-grade DAC with 32-bit/384 kHz Texas Instruments PCM5102A technology, which powers custom-tuned digital low-pass filtering circuitry.

A linear power supply sends separate signals to the transport system's motor control and critical audio circuitry, dramatically reducing noise and distortion and restoring even the smallest details of your CD collection.

On the practical side, highly intuitive control functions on the front panel and the supplied remote control make operation easy, while the graphical display screen shows the playback status and information corresponding to the disc metadata, title and artist name included.

Still compact but with increased cabinet volume and driver size for even greater power, the Wharfedale Diamond 12.2 offers a little more than a traditional bookshelf (or stand) speaker format and embodies the historical and performance values of the Wharfedale series. Diamond. Perfect for larger rooms and more powerful 2-channel hi-fi systems, the Diamond 12.2 features a high-performance 150mm Klarity driver for long, tight bass, and a superb 25mm woven polyester dome tweeter for high frequencies open and extended smoothly.

It also incorporates a Precision magnet system with an aluminum compensation ring to minimize the effect of variations in inductance as the voice coil travels. This contributes to the absence of distortion and intermodulation generated by the "motor system". The voice coil is wound on a high power fiberglass/epoxy coil very unusual in speakers at this price level. This has the advantage of not adding eddy currents and offering greater power handling than an aluminum coil, while also being much stiffer than the Kapton type associated with this price class.
