A sophisticated phono preamplifier that takes the core circuit design of the absolute reference model Nu-Vista Vinyl 2 and integrates it into a revised chassis and printed circuit boards to take vinyl record playback to the highest levels of excellence while keeping the price factor in check.
With a slimmer aesthetic than its big brother, thanks to a clever rearrangement of its internal organisation that has enabled it to reduce its overall volume by 45%, the new phono preamp from Musical Fidelity shares with it such significant elements as a fully balanced, very low noise architecture executed with discrete audiophile-grade components, a gain circuitry consisting of three stages driven by transistorised circuits configured in Class A, passive RIAA, Decca and Columbia equalisation in two separate sections, a separate power subsystem featuring one of the UK company's renowned Super Silent transformers and, of course, the unique Nuvistor miniature vacuum tubes.
Another key feature of the Nu-Vista Vinyl S is that its input and output circuitry is completely separate, while it features a powerful mains signal filtering scheme and elaborate DC blocking circuitry.
