Housed in an elegant steel and aluminum enclosure, the Synchro Uni incorporates unique DC current cancellation electronic circuitry, which rebalances the signal from the mains on the zero volt line in order to dramatically reduce – even mute- the hum of power transformers. This circuitry, exclusive to IsoTek, synchronizes the mains signal to deliver a perfectly symmetrical sine wave, while also providing significant sonic improvements when used with any separate Hi-Fi component. Likewise, the Synchro Uni houses sophisticated silver-plated OCC (“Ohno Continuous Cast”) copper wiring and includes IsoTek's proven VAD (“Virtual Air Dielectric”) technology. From a functional point of view, the Synchro Uni is designed to behave as a “pre-filtering” device and can be used with any power cable and mains conditioner available on the market. Specifically, what it does is take the signal from the electrical network and realign its waveform before filtering the contaminating elements contained in it - in the case of electromagnetic/EMI or radio frequency/RFI interference - and thus condition it. .
