A product that perfectly expresses the philosophy of its designer, the Swiss Sven Boenicke: “He may have spent more time in concert halls recording music than most loudspeaker manufacturers. Wherever I go, the sound of real instruments is with me. In my memory, in my body, and I promise you can hear it in our products.” The W5 SE+ Version is, as its creators claim, a small beast whose sophisticated unfiltered side bass speaker with a built-in resonator is capable of even higher displacements than the W5 Standard Version and the W5 SE Version and thus offer mode an absolutely incredible reproduction of the low frequencies of the spectrum. With an enclosure constructed entirely of natural wood with the help of the most advanced computer-aided design techniques available, the W5 SE+ Version also includes a custom-made spring suspension that allows it to be effectively isolated from the surface on which it rests, improving midrange clarity and overall aeration and also reducing the distortion rate. Thanks to this, the small Boenicke exhibits an excellent polar radiation pattern – of crucial importance when creating convincing sound scenes – that defies its very compact dimensions.
