The second model of the very careful Boenicke Audio range is a stylized column that perfectly reflects the philosophy of its creator, the Swiss Sven Boenicke, when he talks about the connection between his products and his deep passion for music: “It is possible that has spent more time in concert halls recording music than most speaker manufacturers. Wherever I go, the sound of real instruments is with me. In my memory, in my body, and I promise you can hear it in our products.” The W8 Standard Version is the base model - there are two evolutions of it called SE Version and SE+ Version - of a sophisticated three-speaker, three-way speaker that, starting from the characteristic enclosure in a natural way with an internal labyrinth optimized by computer of Boenicke Audio incorporates a series of unique solutions that make it a simply different product. Thus, the woofer used has been designed for large displacements and, despite its modest 165 mm diameter, it is tuned to 28 Hz and is not filtered, an unequivocal symbol of its extreme quality. Also the midrange speaker, equipped with a 102 mm diameter paper cone, has been custom made following the demanding specifications of Boenicke Audio . Thus, it includes a first-order low-pass filter although not a high-pass filter, to which exclusive elements are added to optimize its key parameters. The W8 Standard Version is completed with a 75 mm diameter wide-bandwidth tweeter with a first-order high-pass filter combined with one of the Swiss company's exclusive parallel electromechanical resonators. The result is a prodigious presentation of all types of sound scenes that can even be further refined with the addition of the optional SwingBase rear feet.
