Bassocontinuo’s Essenza Proton turntable base is designed to optimise the sound quality of any mid-range or high-end turntable by providing stability and maximum vibration isolation. It should be placed on the top shelf of the Essenza Hi-Fi cabinet.
In engineering terms, there are several aspects worth highlighting in the Essenza range, the first of which is the use of high-density fibreboard (HDF) shelves – a material that offers an ideal combination of robustness and acoustic stability. Also worth noting is the use of a modular structure that allows for a wide range of configuration options, complemented by adjustable metal spikes (with stainless steel floor protection discs) at the base of the unit, rubber decoupling washers beneath each shelf, and stainless steel (HDR) strategically positioned on the top shelf to reduce its natural resonances.
